The Woodland Ford project required a building solution that balanced Ford Motor Company’s established dealership branding standards with the functional demands of an automotive showroom, service building, and service advisor bay.
One of the primary challenges was integrating pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) systems with traditional structural steel while maintaining a cohesive architectural appearance. Fabri-Steel West collaborated with the general contractor, design team, and metal building supplier to accommodate these requirements without compromising functionality or cost efficiency.

Integrating Ford’s dealership design and branding standards into the PEMB system
Creating clear-span showroom and service areas with minimal interior columns
Coordinating the showroom, service building, and service advisor bay as one facility
Incorporating standing seam roofing and durable exterior wall systems
Creating a prominent freeway-facing elevation
Integrating traditional structural steel with pre-engineered metal building systems
Automotive dealerships require a careful balance between brand standards, customer experience, operational efficiency, and long-term building performance. For Woodland Ford, the design also required multiple building systems and materials to function as one cohesive facility.
Fabri-Steel West worked alongside the general contractor, design team, and metal building supplier to incorporate Ford Motor Company’s architectural standards into the pre-engineered metal building design. The showroom utilized HSS tube columns to minimize interior obstructions and accommodate showroom finishes, while the service advisor canopy incorporated traditional structural steel with exterior materials coordinated to match the surrounding buildings.
